After Dark in the Park: Nā Waʻa: The Art of Oceanic Canoe Building is Tuesday, July 9 from 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. at Kīlauea Visitor Center Auditorium of Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park. Learn from Dr. Doug Herman, executive director of Pacific Worlds Institute, about the history and creation of Polynesian voyaging canoes. Part of Hawai‘i Volcanoes’ ongoing After Dark in the Park programs and co-sponsored by the Friends of Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. Free event. Park fees apply.
